A word from the president
Faced with our world's rapid development, which undoubtedly foretells the depletion of certain raw materials, it is impossible to fail to take environmental factors into account. We must learn to do things differently, to work and produce in a more virtuous manner, so we can continue to coexist.
This is why I have chosen to invest in the energy transition, industry, architecture and design sectors. I am confident that, by relying on a high level of quality and innovation, we will be able to rejuvenate France and export our expertise to international markets while keeping jobs within our borders.

THOMAS WATT INDUSTRIE: photometric studies and custom industrial led lighting solutions

Thomas Watt Industrie
photometric studies and custom industrial led lighting solutions
Photometric analysis and studies are necessary first steps in ensuring the performance of an industrial lighting solution. They primarily involve measuring light radiation as it is experienced by human vision and thereby assessing the quantitative study of the transmission of this radiation according to how well it meets the needs of users or their advisers.
Subject to the requirements set by the various standards and recommendations produced by different industrial sectors, Thomas Watt Industrie photometric studies measure the luminance or continuous illumination in a zone over a given period, in order to produce a comprehensive, detailed analysis of photometric performance according to the methodology defined by the standards in the relevant industry.
Appropriate lighting for each work zone
To guarantee a high level of performance for industrial LED lighting, Thomas Watt Industrie's engineers analyse the results of the photometric study to determine the light most suitable for each work zone, while also estimating the energy efficiency level of the light fixtures, their light quality and the appropriate fixture type.
With this goal in mind, Thomas Watt Industrie experts study the strength of the electromagnetic radiation, assigning the strength of each wavelength to a spectral luminous efficiency function that statistically reflects human perception of light. Our photometric measurement tools are equipped with optical filters that perform this assessment to the nearest lux.
Protective light
In the wine industry, the "taste of light" is a defect, still poorly understood, that can affect sensitive wines such as champagnes (for which the VALENTIN factory provides solutions, from disgorging to bottling). With Thomas Watt Industrie, our teams have worked hand in hand with champagne houses to offer LED solutions to cellar managers and their teams that prevent this organoleptic defect from occurring.
The Thomas Watt Industrie LED fixtures specially developed for champagne cellars have earned a qualification awarded by the Comité Interprofessionnel du Vin de Champagne.
Whether it is used in production zones, storage and/or loading areas, office spaces or reception rooms, effective lighting offers savings, efficiency, productivity and safety.
